Roles & Permissions
EduQuest Pro uses a role-based access system. Every member of your organization has one of four roles that controls what they can see and do.
The 4 Roles
Full control over everything. Billing, settings, all content, all members. One per organization — cannot be transferred except by Anthropic support.

- checkDelete the organization
- checkCannot be removed by others
Manages the organization's settings, members, and content. Can do everything except billing.
- checkInvite and remove members
- checkChange member roles (up to Admin)
- checkConfigure tags and export templates
- checkCreate, edit, delete all questions and papers
Creates and manages questions and papers. Cannot manage members or organization settings.
- checkCreate and edit own questions
- checkCreate papers
- checkUse bulk import
- checkExport papers
Read-only access to questions and papers. Can leave comments. Cannot create or edit content.

Inviting Members
Only Owners and Admins can invite new members. Member limits depend on your plan.

Go to Settings → Permissions
Click the Permissions tab in the Settings sidebar.

Click Invite Member
A dialog opens with an email field and a role selector.

Enter their email
Type the email address of the person you want to invite.

Select a role
Choose Admin, Teacher, or Reviewer. Owners cannot be assigned through this flow.

Send invite
Click Send Invitation. The invitee receives an email with a link to accept. Once they accept, they appear in the members list.

Overriding Permissions
You can grant or restrict specific permissions for individual members beyond their role defaults.

Go to Settings → Permissions
Find the member in the members list.

Click the member's row
Expand their permission details.

Toggle individual permissions
Enable or disable specific actions for this member. Overrides are shown with a badge indicating they differ from the role default.

Save
Changes apply immediately.
Removing Members
Removing a member revokes their access immediately. Their created questions and papers remain in the organization.

Go to Settings → Permissions
Find the member you want to remove.

Click Remove Member
Click the trash icon or the Remove button on the member's row.

Confirm
A confirmation dialog appears. Click Confirm Remove. The member is immediately signed out and loses all access.
The Owner account cannot be removed. If you need to transfer ownership, contact support.
