Sections & Point Limits

Sections let you group questions into named parts of a paper — like "Part A" and "Part B".

  • arrow_right

Add a section: Click + Add Section in the paper builder. Enter a section name and optionally set a total marks value for that section.

  • arrow_right

Assign questions: Drag questions from the main list into a section, or use the section dropdown when selecting questions.

  • arrow_right

Marks per question: Each question can have its own marks value. Set it inline next to the question in the section view.

  • arrow_right

Section totals: The total marks for a section auto-calculates from its questions. A warning appears if marks exceed the section limit you set.

  • arrow_right

Remove a section: Click the × next to a section name. Questions inside move back to the unassigned pool.

Multi-Set Papers

Create Set A, Set B, Set C (etc.) from the same question pool to prevent copying in exams.

  1. 1

    Enable multiple sets

In the Paper Builder, click + Add Set. A new set tab appears alongside Set A.

  2. 2

    Configure each set

Each set can have different question selections or the same questions in a different order. Switch between set tabs to configure.

  3. 3

    Randomize option

Enable Shuffle Questions for a set to automatically randomize the question order (and optionally, MCQ option order) when generating.

  4. 4

    Generate all sets

Click Generate Paper — all sets are generated simultaneously and saved as a single paper with multiple versions.

Papers List

All generated papers are saved in Papers → List.
