Points & Billing
EduQuest Pro uses a pay-as-you-go points economy — no subscriptions, no monthly resets. Buy a pack when you need it, use points at your pace. Points never expire.
Free on Signup
1,000 points — completely free
Every new account gets 1,000 pts credited on registration, as two 500-pt transactions labeled Sign-up bonus and Welcome bonus. No credit card required. Enough for roughly 16 auto-generated 30-question papers or 33 manual builds.
What Costs Points
| Action | Cost | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Auto paper generation | 2 pts / question | 30 questions = 60 pts |
| Manual paper publish | 1 pt / question | 30 questions = 30 pts |
| Export (Word or PDF) | 3 pts per export | Each download costs 3 pts |
| Add org member | 20 pts | One-time per new member added |

Grace Zone
When your balance reaches zero, EduQuest Pro allows one more low-cost action (up to −20 pts) before blocking. This prevents unexpected interruptions mid-session. The insufficient-points modal appears immediately so you can top up.
Balance = 2 pts, export costs 3 pts
Allowed — balance goes to −1 pts
Balance = −18 pts, export costs 3 pts
Blocked — would go below −20 pts limit
Frequently Asked Questions
Do points expire?
Never. Points you buy or earn stay on your account indefinitely.
Is the balance shared across the organisation?
Yes — one wallet per org. When any member generates a paper or exports, it deducts from the shared balance. Only the owner can top up.
What if a paper generation fails? Am I charged?
No. Points are deducted only after a successful action. If the server returns an error, no deduction is made.
Can I get a refund on points?
Points are non-refundable once used. Unused points in purchased packs can be refunded within 7 days of purchase — contact support.
How do I see my transaction history?
Go to Settings → Organization. The Transaction History section shows every debit and credit with timestamps.
What triggers the insufficient-points modal?
Any action that would push your balance below −20 pts triggers a 402 response, which immediately opens the top-up modal.
